Python for absolute beginners

Hi DaSHers,
No DaSH meeting this week (still looking for volunteers), but Anya Reading from Earth Sciences has invited any DaSHer who is interested along to her Python for absolute beginners course that she is running for the next 6 weeks. Details below:

Over the next two weeks we have Marty Hidas from IMAS and Ben Galton-Fenzie from AAD talking about accessing IMOS data for research and use of the TPAC high performance computers respectively.

Cheers

Stuart

Hi Stuart,

Could you kindly advertise through DaSH that I’m teaching Python for Absolute Beginners, starting this Friday 12 September at 2pm?  Geo computer room, Earth Sciences Building (just around from the seismometer drum/globe) Sandy Bay.

[Session times are some Friday’s (2-5pm) and some Wednesdays (11-2pm, from 24 Sept) for the rest of semester 2.  Exact sessions to be announced.]

I have spaces for about 4 extra’s in the class, and would like to open this up to DaSH participants.  Best if you bring your own notebook, and let me know in advance if you would like to join in.

Many thanks,
Anya
